At Piless Montessori School we balance our academic program with intentional integration of the arts. Through the practice of visual and performing arts along with music education students develop confidence and fluency in new mediums, while acquiring the skills to express their own creativity. The Arts is integrated into our campus life and community resulting in students with the capacity to both discover new passions and see the world in a new way.
One of the most unique aspects of The PMS experience is its commitment to the instrumental music program.Throughout their nine years at PMS, students are exposed to 25 different instruments! Our music program is immersive, and students are given many opportunities not only to learn foundational skills, such as beat, rhythm, tone, and reading music, but also to learn to play two instruments
At The Piles Montessori School, we feel the world is our classroom, and our approach to experiential learning adds depth and richness to our students’ learning that cannot be accomplished within the traditional four walls of a classroom.
While we believe that such experiences enliven lessons, as a relationship-focused school, we also feel these experiences strengthen peer-to-peer relationships and assist students as they become more independent and able to exercise better self- regulation.

At the center of The PMS drama program is the belief that a dramatic arts education brings creativity to problem-solving, and challenges students’ perceptions about their world and themselves. Drama provides an outlet for emotions and thoughts, enhances communication, trains for public speaking, teaches self-control, discipline, and cooperation, and cultivates a positive and confident self-image. Every grade participates in drama class during the week, and each grade performs a play within the school year.
At Piless Montessori School, we proudly offer Taekwondo as part of our extracurricular activities, providing students with a dynamic and disciplined martial arts experience. Our Taekwondo program focuses on developing physical fitness, self-discipline, and respect, while also building confidence and resilience. Guided by skilled instructors, students learn valuable self-defense skills, improve their focus, and gain a strong sense of accomplishment. This program reflects our commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals who are prepared to face challenges both in and out of the classroom.
