Fostering Future Leaders

In our Primary School we emphasize the development of the whole child. High academic standards are coupled with a truly immersive bilingual learning environment and an extensive and varied co-curricular activities (ECD) program.

Our Primary School curriculum is also based on the International BritishProgram. Taught in schools worldwide, this framework is founded on the principle that students have agency and should be treated as partners in their learning. Coursework, therefore, emphasizes independent research-based inquiry, critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving.

Nurturing Personal Growth

Primary learning at Piless Montessori School also features a distinctive social-emotional component. So, in addition to building a solid foundation of academic knowledge, they develop traits essential to making a positive impact wherever they go in life. Students learn the importance of:

  • School Year Information

  • Our annual intake takes place each January, welcoming new students to the start of the school year. Parent-teacher consultations are held at the end of each term to review students' progress and address any concerns. We kindly discourage impromptu morning discussions with teachers, as these can disrupt class routines. Instead, parents are encouraged to book an appointment for a focused conversation with the class teacher to discuss their child’s development thoroughly.
  • Health and Injury Policy

  • In the event of illness or injury, appropriate care will be provided based on the information provided in the child’s admission form. The responsible teacher will inform parents or guardians with a note detailing the care and any treatment administered. This ensures that families are kept aware of their child’s health and any steps taken during school hours.
  • School Uniforms

  • Labeling and Uniform Purchase. Wearing the complete school uniform is mandatory at Piless Montessori School. This policy promotes equality, neatness, and cleanliness, helping to create a unified and respectful learning environment for all students.
  • All school items should be clearly labeled with the child’s full name to avoid mix-ups. Uniforms are exclusively available for purchase at the school office to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Footwear Guidelines. For indoor activities, we recommend soft shoes like Crocs for comfort and ease. Outdoor shoes should be sturdy and comfortable, providing proper support for your child’s activities throughout the day.
  • Personal Appearance Guidelines. Students are expected to maintain a simple and neat appearance. Nail polish, jewelry, and fancy haircuts are not permitted at school, helping to maintain a focus on learning and uniformity among students.
  • Daycare Requirements. in addition to wearing their school uniform, daycare students are required to bring disposable nappies, baby wipes, and a change of clothes in a labeled bag. This ensures that each child is comfortable and well-prepared for their daily needs.
  • Birthday Celebrations

  • If you would like to celebrate your child’s birthday at school, please arrange this in advance with the class teacher to prevent any disruption to school activities. Alternatively, you may book an appointment to discuss the celebration details. This ensures a smooth experience for everyone involved.
  • Discipline

  • At Piless Montessori School, we believe that discipline is key to a positive learning environment. Students are taught strong moral values and are encouraged to respect and follow school rules and regulations. Adhering to these guidelines fosters responsibility, respect, and a sense of community. In cases of misconduct, appropriate measures will be taken, including corrective actions and, if necessary, temporary suspension until the student is prepared to comply with school expectations. Our goal is to help students understand the importance of discipline for their personal growth and success.
